9-12:04:The Future of AI – Personal Vision and Critical Thinking (Enhanced)

Module 1 closes by looking ahead. What could the future look like? Students connect what they know, design a future AI, and define their own role in the world it creates.

Students are asked to be specific: not “AI will change everything” but “here is an AI I would build, here is who it serves, here is what could go wrong”. That discipline of thinking is the real outcome of Module 1.

What students do
• What Could the Future Look Like? – utopian and dystopian scenarios
• Connecting Back to What We Know: present last week’s ethics findings, then a quiz on concepts, applications and the role of data
• Design a Future AI in small groups: what data would it learn from, what would it predict or generate, and what could go wrong?
• My Role in the AI Future – a personal vision statement – then A Look Ahead to Module 2

By the end, students can
• Critical thinking about hype and risk
• A personal vision for AI
• Readiness for the hands-on modules
