About Course
Grab a magnifying glass – this week your child becomes an AI Detective. The mission: find the AI hiding at home and at school, gather the clues, and decide “AI or Not?” for each discovery.
Children learn best when they’re moving and searching rather than watching. The detective framing turns the whole home or classroom into the lesson, and parents get an easy way to join in.
What your child will do
• Accept this week’s mission and learn how to play the AI Detective Game
• Hunt for smart items – printer, tablet, smartboard, door sensor – using the scavenger-hunt checklist
• Test each find against the clues in “AI or Not? Let’s Test the Clues!”
• Share finds with the group and collect the sticker reward
By the end, your child can
• A simple checklist for telling AI from ordinary machines
• Observation and reasoning skills
• Confidence in explaining what they found and why
Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Application · Learning How to Learn · Caring.
A hands-on, mostly off-screen lesson – ideal for a weekend at home or a classroom hour. Part of Grades K–3: Adventures in AI Land, Module 2 – Where Do We See AI?, Week 2. Next lesson: Create a Smart Home (Craft Integration).
