4-5:09:AI Vision – Machines That See-Done
About Course
Module 3 is about AI’s senses, starting with sight. How can a camera “see” a cat, read a road sign or unlock a phone with a face? Grades 4–5 find out – and try being an AI artist.
Face unlock, photo search and self-driving cars all depend on computer vision. Learners discover that a computer doesn’t “see” at all – it finds patterns in numbers – and why that leads to surprising mistakes.
What your child will do
• What Can AI Do? – Smart Senses of Machines, with videos of a smart camera sorting objects and spotting animals
• Object Identification Game: act as an AI trying to identify objects from only a part, or a blurred image
• AI Artist: explore how AI can process and even create images
• Two MCQ checks and a Reflection: “How does AI vision compare to how your eyes see the world?”
By the end, your child can
• Computer-vision basics: pixels, patterns, recognition
• Where AI vision is used today
• Where it still gets things wrong
Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Foundational Knowledge · Application.
Video, creative activity and quizzes. Part of Grades 4–5: Mission: AI Explorers, Module 3 – What Can AI Do? – Smart Senses of Machines, Week 1. Next lesson: AI Hearing & Speech – Machines That Listen and Talk.
