About Course

This week’s mission is a craft project: build a smart home. Using paper, card and imagination, grades K–3 design a house full of helpful devices and explain what each one does for the family who lives there.

Making something physical is the point. When a child has to decide where the smart lamp goes and what it should do, they are doing early design thinking – and they remember it far longer than a video.

What your child will do
• Watch the mission briefing: “Build a Smart Home!”
• Build a model from paper, stickers and recycled boxes, following “How to Build”
• Label the rooms and the AI tools – smart fridge, security camera, voice assistant
• Group walkaround: present one AI feature from the model

By the end, your child can
• Connect AI ideas to a real design task
• Explain the purpose of a device clearly
• Planning, fine-motor and presentation skills

Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Integration · Application.

You’ll need paper or card, scissors, glue and crayons. Certificate on completion. Part of Grades K–3: Adventures in AI Land, Module 2 – Where Do We See AI?, Week 3. Next lesson: AI in My Day – Personalize and Present.
