0-3:09:Meet the Brains – Human vs Robot
About Course
Time to act it out. Children take turns being the robot and the child, then sort flashcards to decide “Who Can Do This?” – hug a friend, add numbers fast, tell a joke, never get tired. A lesson that gets everyone out of their seats.
Roleplay lets children test ideas with their whole body: pretending to be a robot that can’t feel tired makes the difference between people and machines obvious in a way no explanation can.
What your child will do
• Roleplay “AI vs Me”: act as Chimpu or as yourself while sorting shapes, answering questions and solving puzzles – the robot follows rules, the human can guess, feel and decide
• Flashcard Sorting Game: “Who Can Do This?”
• Discuss: “Which was easier – being Chimpu or being yourself?”
• Draw a happy robot and label what it can do
By the end, your child can
• What AI can and can’t do, in concrete examples
• Empathy and imagination through play
• Sorting and reasoning skills
Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Application · Integration · Human Dimension.
A movement-based lesson that works especially well in classrooms. Part of Grades K–3: Adventures in AI Land, Module 3 – Can AI Think Like Me?, Week 2. Next lesson: Do Robots Feel? – Exploring Emotions.
