About Course

Module 2 opens with a trip to Smart City. Alongside Chimpu, grades K–3 explore a day full of smart devices – traffic lights that adapt, doors that open by themselves, assistants that answer questions – and start asking how they work.

Module 2 moves from “what is AI?” to “how does it work?” at a level a 6-year-old can handle: a smart device notices something, decides, and does something. That simple loop is the seed for the sensing lessons in Module 3.

What your child will do
• Storyboard reading: “A Day in Smart City with Chimpu” – where did Chimpu go, what smart things did we see?
• Matching game: pair AI-enabled places (home, school, hospital) with what the AI does there
• “How do the Smart Devices work” – simple explanations
• Think-pair-share: “Where have you seen something smart like this?”

By the end, your child can
• Recognise AI in public places, not only at home
• The basic idea that smart devices sense, decide and act
• New words: sensor, smart, helper

Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Foundational Knowledge · Integration · Human Dimension.

Story-led video lesson with a reflection activity; about 20 minutes. Part of Grades K–3: Adventures in AI Land, Module 2 – Where Do We See AI?, Week 1. Next lesson: AI Detective Scavenger Hunt.
