About Course

The detectives report in. Students audit a full day of their own routine, log every AI touchpoint, and build a field guide to the tools they use most.

An honest audit of a normal day is often eye-opening: recommendations, autocomplete, filters, maps, music. The field guide students build becomes a reference they return to throughout the course.

What students do
• The Detectives Report In: volunteers share entries from their “My Day with 10 AIs” journals
• A Field Guide to AI Tools: “How does AI make your life easier or harder? What do you use for fun or learning? When do you wish AI wasn’t involved?”
• Your Personal Reflection: one positive and one negative impact you’ve noticed
• Mission Debrief: pick one AI tool and explain simply how it works and what it does for you

By the end, students can
• Categorise AI tools by what they do
• Notice how AI shapes daily habits
• Reflect on dependence and benefit

Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Application · Human Dimension.

Interactive lesson with a written reflection. Part of Grades 6–8: AI Agents in Action, Module 1 – AI Agents in Action – What is AI and Why Should I Care?, Week 2. Next lesson: AI’s Footprint – Society’s Benefits and Challenges.
