About Course

Going global. Students study real-world AI case studies from around the world, work in groups to explore and share, and build an AI collage of what they’ve found.

Case studies from different countries and industries show that AI is not one thing: a crop-disease detector, a fraud filter and a translation app are built differently and raise different questions. The collage makes that variety visible.

What students do
• Going Global: case studies of AI in UAE smart cities, Japanese robotics, UK healthcare and US classrooms – one country per group
• For each case: what data does the AI use, and what patterns is it looking for? Is it “AI that sorts things” or “AI that guesses what happens next”?
• Group Activity: Explore & Share, then build the collaborative AI Collage with a data caption on every example
• Reflection and Quiz Time

By the end, students can
• Distinguish AI, ML and data science using real examples
• Analyse a case study
• Collaborate and present

Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Application · Integration.

Group-friendly lesson with a quiz. Part of Grades 9–12: AI & You, Module 1 – Discovering AI – What, Where, and Why?, Week 2. Next lesson: AI’s Impact – Benefits, Challenges, and Ethical Seeds.
