About Course

AI isn’t just in space labs or tech shows – it’s in the living room, the kitchen and the classroom. Grades K–3 go looking for the smart tools they already know: the TV that recommends cartoons, the voice assistant on the counter, the robot vacuum and the learning tablet.

Young children often think of robots as science fiction. This lesson grounds AI in objects they can point to, which makes the later ideas – learning, data, senses – far easier to grasp.

What your child will do
• Colour AI colouring pages – smart TVs, voice assistants, robot vacuums – and talk about what each one does
• Spot-the-AI at home, at school and on the street
• “Dance with the Robot”: move like a robot to simple commands (“Turn left!”, “Beep-boop!”)
• Finish with a short quiz

By the end, your child can
• Recognise the common AI devices in daily life
• Understand that these tools are made by people to help people
• Talk about technology using real examples from their own world

Learning focus (Fink’s Taxonomy of Significant Learning): Integration · Caring.

Colouring, video and a quiz – a calm, screen-light lesson that works well as a family activity. Part of Grades K–3: Adventures in AI Land, Module 1 – Meet the Friendly Robot – What is AI?, Week 3. Next lesson: What Did We Learn? – Reflect & Share.
